Holy Name Society:

The Holy Name Society in our parish has been a branch of the worldwide Confraternity of the Church for over a decade. Charged by the Pope over 700 years ago, we were founded to promote the reverence and love for the name of Jesus. We are an organization for men characterized by fellowship, spiritual growth, and service to the parish and community.

The Holy Name Society offers you many opportunities to share your talents and serve the Church. United with other parishes in our archdiocese and across the United States, the Holy Name Society is the voice of Catholic men who have chosen to be more active in the profession of their faith and devotion to Christ. To join, just attend one of our monthly Mass and Meetings or contact any of our members or email the Webmaster. We'd love to have you join us!

As a Society, our members come together for numerous activities and events. Examples of our activities and events are below:

Monthly Mass and Meetings

  • Attending on the second Sunday of each month (excluding July and August)
  • Encouraging the celebration of Holy Communion together at the 7:30 am Mass
  • Following Mass we have a meeting to plan many events for our members and for the parish

Spirituality, Prayer and Education

  • Hosting a Speaker Series to discuss and share our faith
  • Praying for the sick of our Parish and for our deceased members

Stewardship

  • Planning communion breakfasts and other similar events
  • Volunteering your time, talents and energy

Holy Name Pledge
Blessed be God.
Blessed be His Holy Name.
Blessed be Jesus Christ, true God and true man.
Blessed be the Name of Jesus
I believe, O Jesus - that Thou art the Christ
The Son of the Living God.
I proclaim my love - for the Vicar of Christ on earth.
I believe all the sacred truths
Which the Holy Catholic Church believes and teaches.
I promise to give good example
By the regular practice of my faith.
In honor of His Divine Name -
I pledge myself against perjury, blasphemy,
Profanity and obscene speech.
I pledge my loyalty - to the flag of my country -
And to the God-given principles -
Of freedom, justice and happiness - for which it stands.
I pledge my support - to all lawful authority
Both civil and religious.
I dedicate my manhood (myself) -
To the honor of the Sacred Name of Jesus Christ -
And beg that He will keep me faithful -
To these pledges - until death.

AMEN
